On the Day of Gunsmith Vladimir Putin visited the Patriot Park of Culture and Recreation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Kubinka, Moscow region.
The head of state took part in the ceremony of consecration of the foundation stone of the main church of the Armed Forces - a religious complex, the construction of which is planned to be completed in the year of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Moleben at the beginning of construction was performed by the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill.
At the end of the ceremony, the President got acquainted with the layout and elements of the finishing of the future cathedral.
The project of the complex provides for the creation of a methodological center for the training of military clergy, conference halls, classes, as well as exhibition space for multimedia expositions. The central throne of the church will be consecrated in honor of the Resurrection of Christ, and each of its four chapels - in honor of the patrons of the clans of arms and types of the Armed Forces.
Then Vladimir Putin visited the shooting center of the Kalashnikov concern in the Patriot Park, inspected the exposition of the newest samples of the holding's products.
