The developments in Afghanistan have created conditions for the resumption of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) - Afghanistan Contact Group's work, Vladimir Putin said on Friday, addressing the Dushanbe-hosted Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit via video link.
Putin emphasized that the pattern of joint actions aimed at promptly responding to threats coming from Afghanistan had been thoroughly discussed at a meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Collective Security Committee on September 16. The Russian president stressed that Moscow was interested in making sure that other SCO members understand and support the decisions made at the meeting.
