Putin: Excess Profits Tax Will Add To New Children's Fund

On the eve of Orthodox Christmas, Vladimir Putin held the first Cabinet meeting this year.

The meeting was devoted to social problems and the president announced the creation of Circle of Kindness - Fund to support seriously ill children. According to Putin, funds from the excess profits tax will be fully directed to support children with serious, life-threatening and chronic illnesses, including rare, or orphan, diseases.
